Work With Us

Recognizing that fields as diverse as social sciences, music, biology, and even linguistics are increasingly turning to high-performance computing to realize their research goals, the Parallel Computing Institute is ready to collaborate with training, computational resources, and working partners.

In fact, PCI is aggressively seeking researchers whose work can benefit from the speed-ups available with parallel computing, as well as those who can help refine and add to the fundamental science of parallel processing.

The goal is simple: PCI wants to bring people together to leverage the power of parallel computing for successful research projects ranging from single-investigator efforts to large interdisciplinary projects across campus or across multiple institutions, including industry, not-for-profit organizations, and government laboratories and agencies.

Training

PCI is a gathering place for learning “everything parallel,” with standard and custom offerings for industry and academics, including:

  • Informal discussions and consulting
  • On-the-job workshops
  • Short courses
  • Summer schools

Research Funding Acquisition Assistance

PCI faculty and staff have ample experience and success in achieving government, industry, and private support for research projects, and will share that expertise with early-stage researchers or groups seeking to form complex multi-phase collaborations. PCI can provide professional assistance with:

  • Identifying government funding opportunities
  • Identifying potential industry and academic collaborators
  • Research team organization
  • Proposal preparation and submission

Building and Growing

The mission of PCI is to advance the science of parallel computing, and to make it accessible and easy for users. PCI services and resources will grow with demand. Tell us what you need, and we will respond. PCI is poised to evolve as your research needs grow. Work with us!
