PCI Director Gropp co-authors paper on future directions for advanced computer infrastructure
William Gropp, the director of the Parallel Computing Institute and Siebel Chair in Computer Science at Illinois, has co-authored an interim report on "Future Directions for NSF Advanced Computing Infrastructure to Support U.S. Science and Engineering in 2017-2020." The NSF-comissioned report explores how infrastructures -- from new forms of cloud computing to publically available by privately held data repositories -- can help support scientific advancements in the future.
