Gropp co-authors two books on MPI
William Gropp, PCI Director and Siebel Chair in Computer Science at Illinois, has co-authored two books through The MIT Press.
"Using MPI: Portable Parallel Programming with the Message-Passing Interface (Scientific and Engineering Computation (3rd edition)" co-authored with Ewing Lusk and Anthony Skjellum, is a comprehensive revision of "Using MPI," originally published in 1994. "Using Advanced MPI: Modern Features of the Message-Passing Interface," co-authored with Torsten Hoefler, Rajeev Thakur, and Ewing Lusk, covers more advanced parts of MPI, including new features of MPI-3.
The books are currently available for preorder at Amazon, and will be released in early November.
