Campus researchers are invited to apply by March 16 to use Blue Waters
All campus researchers are invited to apply by March 16 for allocations on the powerful Blue Waters supercomputer. There will be a Q&A session about the supercomputer and the proposal process from 3 to 5 pm March 5 in Room 1040 at the NCSA Building.
Both exploratory and general allocations are available. Exploratory projects (20,000-50,000 node hours) are intended to enable researchers to prepare code for Blue Waters. General allocations (30,000-1 million node hours) are intended for large-scale research projects. Proposals will be judged on their scientific and/or educational merit, their suitability for Blue Waters, and their demonstrated need for the unique capabilities of Blue Waters.
